Whilst we will all take a moment today to reflect on the past 12 months and those who have lost their lives or loved ones, I also wanted to take a moment to look back on the year and to highlight the significant contribution you and your staff have made to people’s lives.

I would like to acknowledge your ongoing commitment to providing the vital transport provision which has allowed children to get back to school, vulnerable people to day services, providing access to loved ones, allowing families to access respite, isolated people to travel on the bus to shops, work, doctors, along with many, many more extremely important transport services that have made a massive difference to people’s lives. These services are vital and they have all required your hard work so they could happen. Whilst we may not deliver the front line services, ensuring people can get to them is just as important.

On behalf of Transport Operations we would like to express our admiration, appreciation and thanks to all our transport operators, the drivers, escorts and office staff for all the hard work, commitment and sacrifices you have made to ensure others can get to and from their essential services and have a little bit of normality back in their lives.
